Terms and Conditions
  • A minimum of fifty percent (50%) of the Fee to be paid upon the commission of the full score and the remainder upon delivery of the completed full score to the commissioner

 

  • Bespoke Classical Music and the commissioner will agree a delivery date for the completion of the commissioned work prior to the date of performance

 

  • The original manuscript shall remain the property of the composer. The commissioner shall have the right to receive one copy of the work.

 

  • The copyright of the commissioned work will remain the property of the composer.

 

  • Provision of material in digital format will not constitute a licence to copy, except with permission (from the composer) for a specific number of copies.

 

  • The number of copies is limited to those appropriate for use in rehearsing and giving the first performance. These copies may subsequently be retained if a further performance is pending, otherwise they should be returned / destroyed. The score, however, may be retained by the commissioner.

 

  • If the commissioner chooses the “composition only” option, then the cost of preparing performing material will be wholly the responsibility of the commissioner.

 

  • If the commissioner commissions the composition only option and hires their own musicians, Bespoke Classical Music cannot guarantee the quality of the performance.

 

  • If the commissioner has requested either the “Composition + Hire of Professional Musicians” or the “Composition + Hire of Professional Musicians + recording” option then the cost of preparing performance material and the provision of musicians to perform the prepared material at the required venue will be the responsibility Bespoke Classical Music.

 

  • All world rights whatsoever in the commissioned work remain the property of the composer. However, the exception to this is the commissioner’s right to give or promote the first public performance of the WORK, provided that this takes place on a date not later than that agreed between Bespoke Classical Music and the commissioner. After this date the composer is free to arrange the first performance.

 

  • The composer is free to offer the commissioned work for publication.
